I have been told or asked "How do you read so many books in such a little time?" or "How do you find time to read?" For me I always ask in response "How do you NOT have time to read?"

Close your Facebook app or that game app that's consuming you and pick up a book or open up the Kindle or Audible app instead and dive into another world. There is ALWAYS time to read, you just need to make yourself available for it... of course this is where people think well I have children I don't have time for that, or I have a full time job or school full time and I can't find any time in the day to just read. Let me explain and give you some examples on how I find time to read...

How to read anywhere at anytime
Close your apps and open a book

ONE - Love It!

Find a book you are genuinely into, my mom for example tends to lean towards non-fictional and history type of books. I personally lean more towards fictional mystery novels but I also love a good poetry book and some self-help Christian based books. You have to have some type of passion for what you are reading, if not then you will just feel like you are in high school again reading a forced book - NO FUN! (Side note: I did love reading all the books they "forced" us to read in high school)

TWO - Start Small

If you think you would like poetry, start there. They are small enough to keep you interested and you don't have to "keep up" with it. You can open it at ANY time and read ANY page. If poetry isn't your thing but you still need a starting point... check out the books I listed below. If any of them stick out get a sample of it on your Kindle app (FREE btw) - this is the best way to see if you'll be interested in something.

THREE - Never Enough Time in the Day

Lies! I try to find ANY time to pick up a book... the other day my husband and I need to get our tires on my car replaced, knowing that those places take FOREVER. I brought a book with me to keep me busy and distracted from how long it was really going to take. I always try to carry one or two books in my purse and with technology today, books can easily be accessed through your phone. The Kindle/Audible App is going to be your best friend if you are finding that time isn't on your side. Anytime I have to clean, whether it be doing loads and by loads I mean mounds of laundry or dishes... I use to blare the music and dance along while doing the chores, but now I open up my Kindle app and LISTEN to my books. There are many other opportunities you just have to squeeze in doing two tasks at once...

Gym - I know that blaring up that "insert popular workout song" helps you "work harder" but give the Kindle/Audible app a try during one gym session. You will soon realize how fast your workout will go by as well as how far you get in a book.

TV gurus - I am as obsessed with 'The Bachelorette' & 'Southern Charm' just as the next girl is... HOWEVER my hubby has his OWN shows that *cough cough* sorry babe just isn't my thing. So when we switch TV time but we still want to spend time together. I open up a book and tune his TV show out and read on.

Sleepy Time - OK. I KNOW I am not the only one who has tossed and turned at night. Reading is the ONLY thing that will help me go to sleep. My husband has even caught me still phone in hand dozed off. I also try to take 15-30 min a night before bed to pick up a book and skim through it or read a few pages.

A few pages is better than nothing. A few pages lead to a few chapters, A few chapters lead to a few books.

I hope I have helped in SOME way to get you reading! Here are my current reads and a few I JUST finished.
