With the quarantine in place, I have compiled a list of stay-at-home date night ideas! Plus side to this is my hubby actually helped me with this list and post - so you know it is definitely "guy/husband" friendly.
1. WINE OR BEER TASTING
This is the best time to gather a few bottles of wines or a few different types of beers that you wouldn't normally buy and having a tasting! Bonus points for making a charcuterie to go with it!
2. OUTSIDE DINNER
A while back Trent (husband) surprised me one valentines day with a three course dinner with candle lights, our living room table, and a few pillows. It was the simplest yet most romantic date I have ever been on. He recently did it again for my 30th birthday lunch.
3. ASK EACH OTHER QUESTIONS
I have known my husband for 11 years and there are still stories that I've never heard and when I do hear them I'm surprised. Get to know your significant other better.
A few questions to get you started:
Favorite childhood memory
Favorite memory about elementary/middle/high school
Name one thing that your mind wanders to during the day
Scariest moment when you were a child
First memory you can ever remember
4. BUBBLE BATH FOR TWO
Put the kids to sleep, pour the bubbles, and relax in a nice tub for two
5. CANDYTOPIA
If alcohol isn't your thing... try collecting different type of candy and/or chocolate/desert and have a tasting!
6. LEARN ABOUT HIS/HER FAVORITE HOBBY
My husbands favorite hobby is playing a card game, and he has been begging for me to learn it. Now would be a great time to do just that. My favorite hobby is working out, and he has joined me a few times during this quarantine.
7. PAINT PARTY
One night when the hubby and I were bored we decided to pull out old paint and make random pictures or try pour painting. We didn't keep any. of the paintings but spending time with each other and laughing at each others painting made for a fun time and a great memory
8. ONLINE SHOPPING
Go to amazon or your favorite online store and choose one item TOGETHER for a future date... A building project, a renovation project, or a simple outdoor game/project.
9. WRITE A LOVE LETTER TO EACH OTHER
There is no deeper way to reconnect with your significant other than to write a love letter of how you see them. Write about your favorite things about them, write about how you met from your point of view, or write about your fondest memory.
10. SLEEP OR CUDDLE
If you have kids you know how little time you have to sleep or just to relax and cuddle! This is the perfect time to do this. Simply enjoy each other by laying in each others arms and relax.
I hope you enjoy this list of stay-at-home dates! Get dressed up or dress down and enjoy time with your significant other!
